  • The European Cancer Conference - ECCO 13, Paris, France

  • ECCO - the European Cancer Conference, is the leading multidisciplinary oncology platform in Europe, routinely attracting more than 10,000 delegates and providing a successful and exciting forum for physicians and researchers from around the world to meet, exchange ideas and listen to presentations of the very latest research news in oncology. Highlights of some of the presentations given 31 October – 3 November are reported here.
  • The American Urological Association’s (AUA) 100th Annual Meeting: San Antonio, TX, USA

  • This year’s AUA Annual meeting attracted around 15,000 delegates from around the world to hear about and discuss the latest developments in the pathogenesis, diagnosis, and management of urological conditions. Highlights of just some of the many and varied presentations on prostate cancer given 21 to 26 May 2005 are reported here.
  • The American Society of Clinical Oncology’s (ASCO) 41st Annual Meeting: Orlando, Florida, USA

  • As the premier meeting for oncology professionals, the ASCO Annual Meeting provides an opportunity to hear about the latest clinical advances in cancer research. The 41st Annual Meeting is no exception, with cutting-edge presentations on all aspects of cancer management. Highlights of some of the presentations given during the 5-day meeting, held May 13–17, are given here.
  • The American Association of Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting: Anaheim, California, USA

  • The AACR Annual Meeting is well known for being a platform for researchers to present the very latest advances in all areas of basic, translational, and clinical cancer research. Presentations at this year’s meeting, held April 16–20, covered the fundamental nature of cancer processes and their inhibition; novel approaches to prevent and diagnose cancer before it becomes life-threatening; and new therapies able to target tumor over healthy cells. Highlights of some of the important research presented during the meeting are summarized here.
  • 2005 Prostate Cancer Symposium, Orlando, Florida, USA

  • Emphasizing the increasing need for a multidisciplinary approach to the management of prostate cancer, this three-day meeting was jointly organized by the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the Prostate Cancer Foundation, the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, and the Society of Urologic Oncology. Experts from a diverse range of specialties gathered to discuss the latest trial findings and review current and future directions in the management of the disease.
